Rimage Integrates Marquis Broadcast Technology

To integrate its optical duplicating devices with content creation and editing systems
"Thanks to Marquis Broadcast, we are now able to provide digital content creators with improved disc output efficiency, flexibility and usability from their production workflows," said Hamish Macmillan, director of business development for Rimage. "Because PostBox+ simplifies file export between different manufacturers' systems, our end users will have greater freedom to choose diverse third-party products while knowing they will not encounter file incompatibility problems."
Rimage digital publishing systems provide automated CD, DVD and Blu-ray Disc production for rough cuts, screeners, end products and everything in-between. Using PostBox+, Rimage will extend its market reach by taking disc publishing directly into Avid and Apple editing environments.
PostBox+ will provide tight integration between the two processes, creating a powerful, easy to use workflow where editors are able to achieve seamless access to publishing, recording and printing operations from the familiarity of their own editing environments.
"The true benefit of our integration with Rimage is efficiency," said Granby Patrick, Partner Director, Technology for Marquis Broadcast. "Whether editors are producing one or one hundred discs, the entire process - including direct-to-disc label printing - takes place as a background task, freeing up more time for editors to focus on creative work. PostBox+ enhances the disc output process by helping sort and configure media as well as publishing information, such as disc printing schemes. The end result is a smoother, more seamless workflow and more reliable, professional-looking discs."
