SNIA Europe Signs With Guide Share Europe
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Mon, January 28th, 2008
GSE represents 12,000 end users across Europe.
The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Europe announced its partnership with Guide Share Europe (GSE), an organisation representing over 12,000 end users across Europe, all users of leading-edge IT and data storage solutions in particular. Under this alliance agreement, GSE Europe will have direct access to SNIA’s storage tutorials and will be able to participate in the association’s events, while SNIA Europe will provide speakers to GSE’s events.
“Partnerships are extremely important for SNIA Europe because they allow us to share and gain a wealth of knowledge, all for the ultimate benefit of our members and the end users,” said Alan Wallman, SNIA Europe Strategic Alliances Committee Chair. “Therefore our alliance with Guide Share Europe will be a great source of information and will bring us even closer to the end user community.“
Last year SNIA Europe hosted two presentations at the GSE annual meeting in Köln, Germany: ‘Information Classification, the cornerstone to Information Management’ and ‘Calculating the ROI of Information Lifecycle Management’.
“We are very glad to have direct access to the latest information about SMI-S, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, XAM and other data storage standards,” said Peter Groth, GSE technical coordinator. “The presentations by SNIA Europe at our AGM were extremely well received and our recent participation in the SNW Europe conference was extremely productive”.
The two organisations are an ideal match: GSE brings a strong network of IT users built over the past 25 years, a group of individuals and organisations who share their views, technology experience, and who provide valuable feedback to the storage industry. SNIA Europe provides an unmatched brand awareness and trust across the data storage industry as well as best-in-class educational content.
