By DriveSavers, a Data Recovery Service for iPhone
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Mon, January 28th, 2008
As data can be lost if the iPhone is damaged or not synchronized while out in the field
Solid state drives (SSD)—built into iPhones—use less power, run silently and are more resistant to shock than common hard drives. However, this technology can also be compromised by user error, mismanagement and software or hardware failure. Last year, DriveSavers successful completed recoveries on a number of iPhones that lost data because of either deleted files or corrupted file systems.
"The power and simplicity of the iPhone has revolutionized the mobile phone industry," said Scott Gaidano, president of DriveSavers Data Recovery. "iPhones can go anywhere, capturing precious moments through digital photos, gathering new contacts and creating important notes. Unfortunately, if the newly created data is lost before it is synchronized with the computer, it can be devastating to the user. Now that we’ve added iPhones to our growing list of recovery services, customers have peace of mind that there is somewhere to go to get their critical iPhone data back."
