"In 1999, when flash memory was a nascent market, I had predicted that it would be bigger than both HDD (hard disk drives) and RAM in ten years. I was almost right. Today, HDD and RAM are both about $30 billion each, while flash memory is a $20 billion market. But HDD and RAM are not growing, while flash memory is continuing to grow rapidly. The real takeoff is just beginning."
