Corsair Compact USB Drive: Flash Voyager Mini
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Mon, June 16th, 2008
Sleek, shock-proof and water-resistant, $30 for 4GB
Corsair, Inc. announced the new ultra-compact Flash Voyager Mini 4GB rubberized USB flash drive. The newest member of the award-winning Corsair Flash Voyager family, the Flash Voyager Mini is enclosed in all-rubber housing to protect valuable data against severe temperature, moisture, or physical abuse. The Flash Voyager Mini is ultra-sleek, 1/3 the size of regular USB drives, with a weight of only 5.4 grams -- as light as a piece of gum.

Features Unique Cap-Less Connector Plug
with COB Technology
To create the smallest drive possible, the Corsair Flash Voyager Mini utilizes a unique cap-less retractable connector plug, which easily opens with the flick of the thumb. Corsair achieved this ultra-compact design by using the latest Chip-on-Board (COB) technology, which allows the entire USB connector to be easily retracted into the drive. This not only makes the drive smaller, but it also prevents damage caused by life's inevitable mishaps. In addition, the drive's ergonomically shaped rubber housing makes it easy to connect and disconnect from any computer.
"With the Flash Voyager Mini, we wanted the smallest form factor possible while maintaining the features that made the Flash Voyager line so popular, such as water resistance and shock-proof housing," said John Beekley, VP of Applications Engineering at Corsair.
"We think of the Flash Voyager Mini as a summer-proof product. It can be left on the dashboard of your car on a hot summer day or you can spill a drink on it and the data will remain protected," said Stephen Schwartz, Associate Product Marketing Manager at Corsair.
The 4GB Corsair Flash Voyager Mini is available immediately in the United States from Amazon.com as well as other e-tail and retail locations worldwide priced at $29.99. Corsair products are backed by a 10-year Limited Warranty.
