Hitachi Storage Systems: Fiscal 3Q11 Financial Results

Good quarter - up 12% sequentially - and nine-month periods for HDS in term of storage system revenues.
But for the next three-month period, the company expects sales of only ¥74 billion for this activity, a figure down 21% sequentially resulting in a small 4% increase for its full fiscal year's revenues.
This forecast is partly the result of HDD shortage even if HDS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi as well as sister company Hitachi GST, manufacturer of disk drives.
