VPI With New USB 3.0 Products

Based in Aurora, OH, Video Products, Inc. announced the addition of the several products featuring the newest USB 3.0 technology to its line of connectivity products.
The USB 3.0 technology allows SuperSpeed transfer, access, and storage of high bandwidth files. When connecting to USB 3.0 compliant peripherals, data transfers of up to 5Gbps are possible. These devices are also backwards compatible, maintaining compatibility with existing USB devices.
USB 3.0 PCI-e Card
The 2-Port SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI-e Host Card utilizes the newest USB 3.0 technology which is the fastest way to transfer, store, and access high bandwidth files. Price is set at $45.
USB 3.0 External Storage:
Extend USB 3.0 devices up to 3 meters – 10 times faster than USB 2.0. Lengths - .5/1/2/3 meters. Male USB 3.0 Type A to male USB 3.0 Type B connectors, supports speeds up to 4.8 Gbps, full-duplex data transfers. Can also simultaneously send and receive data. Pricing ranges from $8.00 to $13.00 depending upon length.
USB 3.0 Switch (available in March)
2 PC's USB 3.0 ports to 1 USB3.0 device. Fully compliant with the USB Specification V3.0, V2.0, & V1.1 Supports USB Plug & Play. More information and pricing coming soon.
