Offers catch-up TV in a box
Media storage company Uebo
is launching a box allowing British consumers to watch online video,
'catch-up TV' and other digital video on TV using a set-top box.

The company's new Uebo M200 Media Player provides viewers with a range of media experiences brought directly to the big screen. This means viewers no longer have to squint at laptops or jockey for position with their friends and family for a good view of the PC.
Users of the Uebo M200 will be able to access a selection of streamed content from such sources as BBC iPlayer, YouTube, and more, due to compatibility with leading media server providers including PlayOn and TVersity.
The M200 offers a host of options to the user, all accessible by remote control. Users will be able to search the device for content on the Internet and a home network, as well as items from USB drives. The M200 has its own optional internal hard drive for users to store their media collections - and it can be used as a network attached storage device for the home network, providing up to 2TB of storage that can be accessed by any PC in the home. The M200 also has a built-in BitTorrent facility to share files and download data directly from the Internet avoiding the need to leave a PC running.
While PCs offer a similar range of features, they can be cumbersome to set up and certainly take time to boot. The M200 has been designed specifically for playing media files on your TV and as such, can be configured quickly and be ready to use within seconds. Media files can be played, paused, fast forwarded or replayed all with the touch of a remote control.
The device supports a range of media formats and also can be used with an additional internal hard drive to offer the user up to 2TB of storage. It also offers the ability to show videos direct from a camcorder, and photos from a digital camera.
Niall Smith, Uebo's Sales Director for Europe said: "The M200 offers an unparalleled user experience. It's quick to set up, inexpensive and uses less power than the PC - and it connects directly to your TV. With easy access to your favourite catch-up TV channels, we think that this box will prove to be a winner with British customers."
The Uebo M200 media player is available to buy online on the company's web site.
