50 Certified USB 3.0 Products

The USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) announced 50 products have passed SuperSpeed USB compliance and certification testing. Certified products include motherboards, notebooks, external storage devices, storage controllers, PCI Express and ExpressCard add-in cards, hard disk drives and device-enabling silicon. Consumers around the world now have access to highly dependable certified SuperSpeed USB products that can meet their data transfer needs.

SuperSpeed USB, the latest iteration of USB technology, delivers data transfer rates up to 10x faster than Hi-Speed USB and offers optimized power efficiency, increased power delivery and backward compatibility with the billions of USB-enabled computers and devices currently in use. According from a spokesman from he USB Implementers Forum met at CeBIT,
the organizations has 699 members.
He also said that Asus, HP,
Gigabyte, Fujitsu and Lenovo has announced computers
integrating an USB 3.0 connector.
