With its 10Gb Unified Wire Ethernet adapters
Chelsio Communications, Inc. announced its full line of 10Gb Unified Wire Ethernet adapters now supports Open-FCoE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet).
By ensuring support of Open-FCoE, Chelsio is enabling IT managers to use their existing Ethernet infrastructure to connect servers to Fibre Channel SANs without the need to use FC adapters.
“Open-FCoE is another way for IT managers to leverage their current capital investment to bring Fibre Channel onto their Ethernet networks,” said Kianoosh Naghshineh, president and CEO of Chelsio. “As the standards get ratified and the entire FCoE ecosystem slowly ramps into existence over the next few years, IT managers can enjoy some of the benefits of the single unified network without the need for the early investment.”
