Unitrends Protects KBA
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Mon, June 21st, 2010
Replacing Symantec
Unitrends is protecting KBA’s data systems from failing.
KBA North America, one of the largest printing press manufacturers worldwide, with the broadest press range in the industry, converted its backup provider from Symantec to Unitrends to ensure its systems were protected. The company purchased the DPU 3000 and Multi-Drive Archive to get quick and simple backups and restores while migrating from a physical server to a virtual environment.
KBA relies on Unitrends effective solution, in which KBA is growing increasingly dependent on, as the company’s customer-base continues to expand. Unitrends protects more than 40 versions of operating systems and applications using a single backup appliance, so KBA can easily protect its various systems with just one solution.
KBA’s IT manager Michael Sodolak found that only Unitrends provides something in which no other company seems to offer ease of use: "Backup systems need to simply work and be simple to manage” Sodolak said.
With Unitrends, Sodolak has a system that does the job for him with minimum involvement and effort. The advantages Unitrends offers exceed the minimum requirement of providing a solution that works, although competitors can oftentimes fall short of this.
“Just as reliable as our appliances, Unitrends provides a team of customer support who never stop working for their clients,” said Maria Ellison, senior vice president, support, Unitrends. “Our support team focuses on outperforming customer’s expectations and responding to customer needs with urgency whether it be critical situations or small inquiries."
