Storwize, Inc., provider of real-time data compression solutions for primary storage, announced that Polycom, Inc., provider of unified collaborative communications solutions, has selected its award winning STN-6000 solutions as part of a long-term cost-reduction IT strategy.

With the deployment of the Storwize solutions Polycom has seen the benefit of reducing its data footprint by 60 percent in a research and development environment. In addition, Polycom reported a reduction of bandwidth between its main and disaster recovery sites.
