Bell Data to Distribute Scale Computing

Throughout Japan and exclusively
Scale Computing has signed an agreement with BELL DATA, Inc., a storage solution provider in Japan. The agreement enables BELL DATA to exclusively distribute Scale's storage products throughout Japan.
'We believe Scale is ideally positioned to address a growing market need to reduce costs, increase control and add convenience to planning and managing storage," said Hiroshi Onodera, President, BELL DATA. "Data storage is a major growth market and Scale Computing has a unique and compelling product that is scalable, unified and future-proof."
Scale's storage portfolio is based on the company's Intelligent Clustered Storage (ICS) technology, which enables users to add storage hardware, known as storage nodes, as necessary without suspending services or migrating data. IT managers are able to build out storage clusters, starting with just six terabytes (raw) up to the multiple petabyte range on a single file system. As a unified storage platform, Scale's Starter Cluster line of products provides for simultaneous SAN and NAS services from a single pool of storage, providing enterprise-class, truly clustered, and highly scalable storage at a fraction of the price of competing solutions.
"As our North American pipeline growth is accelerating at a 50 percent rate per quarter, we are anxious to provide Generation 3.0 storage to the Japanese market," said Jeff Ready, CEO, Scale Computing. "Our relationship with BELL DATA will enable us to penetrate the Japanese market with a storage solution that has no single point of failure, migrationless scalability, zero performance bottlenecks, and the lowest entry price on the market."
