Raytheon Oakley to Resell Kazeon
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Fri, March 14th, 2008
To offer integration of eDiscovery with insider threat protection
"Joining Raytheon and Kazeon solutions provides an unprecedented electronic data discovery and insider threat protection solution that covers data at rest or in motion across the network and endpoints," said Derek Smith, president of Raytheon Oakley Systems. "Our customers are increasingly demanding electronic data discovery as part of their security portfolio. They know it's impossible to protect critical data if they don't know what it is or where it is in their enterprise."
Raytheon Oakley Systems integrates with the Kazeon eDiscovery solutions to provide proactive detection and prevention services across a company's network. Kazeon automatically discovers data at rest and, if the electronically stored information matches a risk profile, moves sensitive data to a secure location for further monitoring. Raytheon Oakley automatically fingerprints collected data to monitor its use on endpoints and its movement across the enterprise network.
If uninformed users expose sensitive data, Raytheon Oakley detects the policy violation, notifies the user of the policy and reports the violation. When a malicious insider attempts to steal intellectual property or customer data, Raytheon Oakley can prevent the activity, alert the appropriate investigator, prioritize the incident by severity and capture indisputable visual evidence of the crime.
The integrated solution will include the capability to:
- Discover Information -The Kazeon Information Server automatically discovers data at rest residing on: desktops, laptops, file servers and e-mail servers across company networks and endpoints, creating an enterprise index of both content and metadata.
- Classify Data - The Kazeon Information Server automatically tags and classifies the discovered data based on pre-defined business risk policies using combinations of keywords, patterns and metadata.
- Automatically Move Data to a Secure Location - The Kazeon Information Server automatically moves or copies tagged data to a secure location to comply with company risk policies and for integration with Raytheon Oakley Systems.
- Fingerprint Sensitive Data - Raytheon Oakley automatically fingerprints collected data to be monitored across network and endpoint channels, including file systems, communication protocols and removable devices.
- Protect Sensitive Data - Raytheon Oakley provides extensive pre-defined policy configurations for common business scenarios, such as protecting customer information, intellectual property and sensitive data. This allows administrators to detect policy violations, prompt users of violations, block removable media or disable the computer.
- Investigate and Provide Forensics Evidence - Raytheon Oakley goes beyond data leak prevention by giving investigators and security personnel visual forensic evidence of malicious and accidental insider activities.
