IQMedia, Sumisho Computer Systems and Percona Like Virident

Virident Systems announced that customers and partners around the world are capitalizing on its PCI Express (PCIe) solid state drives (SSDs), which eliminate I/O bottlenecks in today's applications.

The Virident tachIOn SSDs deliver sustained performance of up to 300,000 I/O operations per second (IOPS) with a 4 KB block size on mixed read-write workloads. Virident's tachIOn delivers several times the performance of competing PCIe SSD products and is hundreds of times faster than hard disk drives. The Virident PCIe-based SSDs are for data-intensive workloads such as databases, business analytics, simulation, visualization, and high-performance computing. Virident was exhibit at SNW Spring 2011.

The Virident solution has already demonstrated return on investment for its customers.
