ExaGrid Has More Than 200 Customer Installations
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Wed, March 12th, 2008
The second largest customer base for disk-based backup systems with data de-dup, said the company
“We looked at several different systems and even considered building our own, but no solution could match the ExaGrid in terms of price, data de-duplication and support,” said Jon Mahlbacher, Network Engineer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a Virginia-based, 1,500 employee systems engineering, technical, and managed services firm. “It all came together when we realized we could deploy a two-site ExaGrid system and improve the speed and reliability of our local backups while gaining the high availability we were looking for in our disaster recovery plan.”
“Fifty-one percent of ExaGrid’s customers have a primary site ExaGrid and still make tapes for offsite storage, while the other forty-nine percent have an ExaGrid at the primary site and an ExaGrid at an offsite location entirely eliminating tape. This shows customers’ progress toward complete tape elimination,” said Marc Crespi, VP of Product Management with ExaGrid Systems, Inc.”
“Worldwide customer adoption of the ExaGrid Disk-based Backup system continues to expand rapidly,” said Bill Andrews, president and CEO of ExaGrid Systems, Inc. “By surpassing the 200 customer installation mark, ExaGrid has the second largest group of installed customers enjoying the benefits of a disk-based backup system with data de-duplication. With the highest performance and most scalable product at the best price, ExaGrid is a fast-growing leader in the hot global market for disk-based backup.”
ExaGrid customers come from key industries such as: Healthcare, Legal, Engineering Services, Manufacturing, Education, Financial Services, and Federal, State and Local Government.
