Arrow ECS VAD of Syncsort

Syncsort and Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc., announced that they have signed a North American distribution agreement.

Under the agreement, Arrow ECS has been designated as a value-added distributor of Syncsort BEX data protection software. This will enable Arrow ECS' extensive NetApp reseller community to solve a broader set of data protection challenges by leveraging integrated backup capabilities from Syncsort and NetApp products.

Syncsort and NetApp provide next-generation backup and recovery for heterogeneous storage environments that reduces backup times by 90 percent, instantly recovers data and provides robust disaster recovery solutions.  Additionally, storage costs are significantly reduced via the efficient implementation of source-side data reduction and destination-based de-duplication.  

For organizations transforming their business through server virtualization, the combined offering provides resource-efficient data protection via block-level data movement, instant virtualization technology for recovering and migrating servers, as well as the ability to leverage legacy tape investments.
    
Immediately available through Arrow ECS, Syncsort BEX enables Arrow ECS' NetApp resellers to solve backup and disaster recovery challenges, deliver greater value to their customers, and maximize their revenue opportunities.
