Built upon Altaro's philosophy of combining performance with usability, Hyper-V Backup was developed with two main objectives:
In addition, by taking advantage of Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy (VSS) technology, Altaro's latest offering allows live Linux backups and intelligent backup scheduling when backing up VMs on a CSV with the new Schedule Groups functionality.
"Having exhaustively evaluated Hyper-V backup products the Altaro solution stood head and shoulders above from both a performance and ease of use perspective," commented Julian Shaw, Technical Director at Computerworld Business Solutions, a Microsoft Gold Virtualization Partner. "We have now deployed this solution to a number of our clients from a large school with a cluster to a single server with 2 guest machines and the customer feedback has consistently been excellent".
