Huge Misses Into Recent Scale-Out NAS Report

Last month, a report published by ReportsnReports entitled Scale-out NAS Market by Component, Storage Technology, Deployment Type, Organization Size, Vertical and Region – Global Forecast to 2022, with a summary available here, invites us to rethink the content of the study. In brief, many players are not listed that makes this report obsolete and basically wrong as it doesn’t reflect the market reality.

This reports contains several mistakes:

• First, at least 12 scale-out NAS/file storage players were omitted. By alphabetic order: Coho Data, DDN Storage, Elastifile, LizardFS, MooseFS, Open-E, Oracle, Peaxy, Primary Data, Qumulo, Quobyte, Red Hat, Rozo Systems, Scale Logic, StorageCraft, Veritas and Weka.IO. We can also mention Lustre-based solutions that should be here as well.
• The second mistake is the association of cloud integrated storage company such as Nasuni. In that case, if authors include such a vendor, they have to add Avere Systems, BridgeSTOR, Ctera, Panzura, QStar, Seven10 to name a few.
• The third one was the presence of an object storage vendor, again if authors wish to consider that player, they have to add other object storage vendors like Caringo, Cloudian, SwiftStack or Tarmin.
• And fourth, multi-protocol SDS products such Compuverde or Hedvig are not listed as well.

It should be good if authors will be able to update their report sold at the incredible price of $5,650 for 125 pages.
