Helping customers achieve storage goals on cloud service

AHEAD, LLC, a cloud strategy, design and managed services provider, achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Storage Competency status.

This designation recognizes AHEAD’s success in helping customers achieve their storage goals on AWS.

The AWS cloud is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from start-ups to enterprises.

To support the integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Partner Competency Program to help customers identify consulting and technology AWS Partner Network (APN) with deep industry experience and expertise.

AHEAD combines our consultative approach, deep partner ecosystem, and broad array of storage services offered by AWS to meet the financial and technical needs of our clients across a variety of different use cases,” said AHEAD CTO Eric Kaplan.

As an APN member achieving the AWS Storage Competency, AHEAD will further its efforts to help enterprise customers create and apply AWS storage solutions in areas including backup and recovery, primary storage, archive, or business continuance/DR (BCDR), having developed technology and solutions that leverage AWS services. To receive the designation, APN Partners must possess expertise both in AWS and storage technology partners while delivering solutions in the AWS Cloud environment.

AHEAD’s storage technology partners are Avere Systems, Inc., Commvault Systems, Inc., CTERA Networks Ltd, Dell EMC, NetApp, Inc. and Zerto, Inc.

AHEAD’s AWS solutions have already been put to use by Domino’s Pizza, Inc. and Hagerty Insurance for data recovery backup assistance. Hagerty was able to meet offsite data compliance policies by using AWS Storage Gateway, AWS Direct Connect, Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and Amazon Glacier to enable offsite backups and create a diverse copy of critical data.

AHEAD’s technical services team got us to a place where we couldn’t get to by ourselves,” said Ron Walter, Hagerty’s IT infrastructure systems manager. “Their knowledge of AWS and other technology partners helped us setup a secure and efficient storage replication solution.
