Hiep Pham VP of R&D, GM of Vietnam Operations, Virtium

Virtium Technology, Inc. announced the appointment of two VPs.

Hiep Pham is named VP of R&D, as well as GM of Virtium’s Vietnam operations, while Harold Teague is appointed VP of engineering.

Both report to Gary Drossel, EVP of product development and strategy.

These appointments add to Virtium’s strong customer commitment, while complementing the recent expansions of our field applications engineering and quality assurance teams. This expansion ensures optimal product quality and support. That support was validated recently through six separate audits of Virtium by large international customers – all resulting in 100% compliance with their stringent criteria for quality, security and processes.”

Before joining Virtium, Hiep Pham co-founded a number of start-up technology companies. He co-founded and built WIDCOMM, which was later acquired by Broadcom, into a leader in Bluetooth software platform solutions. Before these positions, he was president of the San Diego R&D operations for Uniden Corp. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from McGill University and a Master of Science degree in Communications from the University of Ottawa. He holds several technology patents.

Harold Teague joins Virtium with over 35 years of experience in the storage industry. He was previously VP of engineering, as well as VP of quality at Western Digital Corp., where he was responsible for enterprise product development, management, validation and quality. He also oversaw WD’s Longmont,CO, design center. He previously held engineering and management positions with Control Data Corp., Pertec Peripherals, and Seagate Technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master of Science degree in engineering and technology management from Oklahoma State University.
