Steve Kenniston Back to IBM

Joins again Ed Walsh having worked formerly with him five times

Storage is a small world and success calls for success. We heard that Steve Kenniston is back to IBM after almost two years at Infinidat as VP product marketing.

 

He joins Ed Walsh, GM for storage, IBM Systems, that he knows very well as they both worked together five times:

  • At Catalogic Software in 2014 and 2015,
  • At IBM for a few years between 2010 and 2013 after the acquisition of Storwize by IBM for $140 million in 2010,
  • At Storwize in 2009 and 2010,
  • At EMC for a few months in 2007 after the acquisition of Avamar by EMC for $165 million end of 2006,
  • and at Avamar in 2006.

During their collaboration, they sold two companies, Avamar and Storwize, and Ed Walsh sold also Virtual Iron to Oracle in 2009.
