Intevac Got Order for Two 200 Lean Systems

With this order, backlog for the 200 Lean grows to five systems.
“We are pleased to announce an additional multi-system order for our industry-leading 200 Lean systems,” said Wendell Blonigan, president and CEO, Intevac. “This order for two 200 Leans is part of an ongoing technology upgrade of existing manufacturing capacity, in support of our customer’s product roadmaps. The systems announced are scheduled to ship late this year, and support our outlook that our HDD business in 2017 will be at least as strong, and most likely up, from 2016 levels.”

200 Lean is a production deposition tool for HDD Drive media manufacturing. The system improves disk media performance while utilizing a platform design that provides high throughput from a small footprint. The 200 Len delivers best output per square-foot of factory floor space and low cost of ownership.
