Technology
Aparna has developed a Cloud-in-a-Box solution through the convergence of compute, storage and networking resources in a compact and open software, scale-in-place system.

Products description
Aparna’s Orca µCloud converged products combine compute, storage and networking (inter-server and data center) in 4U high performance, HA system that employs innovative design techniques for integrating merchant silicon and commercial off-the-shelf components to create an open system that delivers high server density, with up to 60 Xeon x86 µServers with dual SSDs.

  • Supports bare metal, containerized and/or virtualized server clusters for single- and multi-tenant environments
  • Houses up to 60 servers, with storage and switching, in a 4U appliance suitable for both standard and telco racks
  • Delivers non-blocking system-level throughput performance for both solid state storage and networking
  • Dual, hot-swappable AC/DC power supplies, including a GPS clock to support applications that require precise timing, such as time series databases
  • Dual, hot-swappable active/active switches that deliver 20Gb/s of bandwidth per µServer and an aggregate uplink capacity of 640Gb/s (2 switches x 8 ports at 40Gb/s each)
  • Suitable for virtually any networking, computing or storage application, including Fog and Mutli-access Edge Computing, databases, data analytics, the IoT, artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Support for up to 10,000 cores per rack
  • Provides the scale-in-place capacity and five-9’s HA needed to handle mission-critical applications
  • Low CapEx and OpEx
