Ebrahim Abbasi CEO, Violin Memory

Former COO replacing Kevin DeNuccio last month

Violin Memory, Inc. announced that Ebrahim Abbasi has been appointed CEO and president, effective April 24, 2017.

The company, which was acquired by Quantum Partners LP effective April 21, 2017, is a pioneer of the all-flash array market. Its arrays are used by global enterprises to deliver high performance, low latency with tightly integrated data services for mission critical applications.

Abbasi previously served as Violin’s COO, and has an established track record in both leading established companies to substantial growth and leading turnaround companies to success. Prior to joining Violin, he served as president of Roamware, Inc. (now Mobileum Inc.), where he was responsible for restructuring and refocusing the company on a successful growth plan. Prior to Roamware, he was resident and COO at Force10 Networks Inc., where he transformed the company into a major cloud computing provider and led its acquisition by Dell Inc. in 2011. Before joining Force10, he was SVP and COO/CIO for Redback Networks, Inc., where he directly contributed to the turnaround of the company’s corporate operations functions that led to the acquisition by Ericsson in 2006.

Violin is well positioned to regain its disruptive innovation leadership and continue its tradition of customer excellence. I am honored to lead this transformation,” said Abbasi.
