Magnetic tape
By Francis Pelletier | April 7, 2017 at 2:39 pmFujiFilm Corporation, Tokyo, Japan, has been assigned a patent (9,601,146) developed by Kasada, Norihito, Oyanagi, Masahito, and Tada, Toshio, Minami-ashigara, Japan, for a “magnetic tape.“
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “An aspect of the present invention relates to a magnetic tape comprising a magnetic layer comprising ferromagnetic powder and binder on a nonmagnetic support, wherein .DELTA.SFD in a longitudinal direction of the magnetic tape as calculated with Equation 1 ranges from 0.35 to 1.50: .DELTA.SFD=SFD.sub.25.degree. C.-SFD.sub.-190°C. Equation 1 wherein, in Equation 1, SFD.sub.25° C. denotes a switching field distribution SFD as measured in the longitudinal direction of the magnetic tape in an environment with a temperature of 25° C., and SFD.sub.-190°C. denotes a switching field distribution SFD as measured in the longitudinal direction of the magnetic tape in an environment with a temperature of -190°C.“
The patent application was filed on June 29, 2015 (14/753,227).
