40% Y/Y Increase in Number of Partner Account Executives Selling Pure Storage in FY17

Channel partners led 70% of all new customer acquisition.

Pure Storage, Inc. announced sustained channel momentum, as evidenced by an increase in the number of partners, as well as the high percentage of new customers being secured by the channel.

In addition, the firm has won several awards highlighting its channel program, executives and the company’s partner mobile app.

As a 100% channel focused company, partners are critical to Pure’s success and reaching new customers. The firm remains selective when choosing partners and only invests in quality partner relationships, resulting in high sales participation, accelerated growth and increased profitability for partners.

Pure’s momentum with the channel is evidenced by increases in partner sales adoption, including a more than 40% year-over-year increase in the number of partner account executives selling Pure in FY17.

Not only is the base of partner account executives selling Pure expanding, the number of partner organizations is also growing at a rate of approximately 50% Y/Y as more partners look for alternatives to legacy technology.

Additionally in fiscal year 2017, Pure’s channel partners led more than 70% of all new customer acquisition.

Partners have access to enablement resources that will increase their knowledge base, sales tools for customer engagements, such as the Pure On The Go app, and co-branded marketing programs to help drive opportunities and revenue. P3 also offers an incentive framework, a demo purchase program featuring discounts by partner tier, direct access to a Pure executive sponsor and more.

  • ESG Channel Acceleration: Recently, P3 was named the All-Star Revenue Driver Winner by Enterprise Strategy Group. This award recognizes innovative tools and/or programs, such as Evergreen Storage and the Pure On The Go partner app, which give Pure partners an edge and enable partners to grow.
  • CRN Channel Chiefs: Michael Sotnick, VP of global channels and alliances, and Steve Block, director of partner marketing were recognized as 2017 Channel Chiefs by channel publication CRN.
  • CRN Enterprise App Award: Pure debuted the Pure On The Go app for partners in 2016. The app was recognized by CRN in the Network/Device Management category for providing deal simplicity to partners by offering a way to configure a customer’s desired storage levels via a mobile device. The app puts sales and marketing support in the palm of their hand by allowing partners to accept sales leads, configure a quote for products and services and register deals. The app also provides access to the partner portal which offers easy access to marketing resources.

The event is taking place June 11-12, 2017 at Pier 70 in San Francisco. The Global Partner Forum is open to current channel, system integrator, service provider, and alliance partners and will provide technical, business and marketing breakouts, giving partners the tools needed to ensure their customers’ are set up for success. The event is part of the second annual Pure//Accelerate user conference, which brings technology companies together for an immersive experience of discovering new possibilities.
