Storwize V5030F

IBM Storwize All-flash High Density Expansion Enclosure Model A9F offers the following features:

Support for attachment to Storwize V5030F and V7000F
5U, 19-inch rack-mount enclosure with slide rail and cable management assembly
Support for up to ninety-two 3.5-inch large-form factor (LFF) 12Gbp SAS flash drives
Redundant 200-240V AC power supplies

Designed for software-defined environments and built with IBM Spectrum Virtualize software, the Storwize family is a solution for storage virtualization. It includes technologies to complement and enhance virtual environments to deliver a simpler, more scalable and cost-efficient IT infrastructure.

The Storwize family is adding an all-flash, LFF, high-density expansion enclosure, Model A9F, that is attachable to Storwize V7000F and Storwize V5030F control enclosures. This model meets the demand for higher speed storage in a smaller footprint. All-flash arrays provide higher IO/s and bandwidth with lower power and TCO than hybrid or HDD-based solutions.

Key prerequisites
High-density expansion enclosure Model A9F requires Spectrum Virtualize Software V7.8, or later, for operation. Use of the software is entitled through the acquisition of Spectrum Virtualize Software licenses.
